The design of the restaurant was based on creating a space that was warm, sophisticated, intriguing and inviting. References of classic American bars were studied to understand which elements contribute to the generation of the desired atmosphere. With this initial conception, noble and natural materials such as wood in different formats, tones and textures were the main elements.

  • The tonality of the materials should tend towards the dark with occasional contrasts of details in shiny metals such as bronze or reflections on aged mirrors. Ornament and detail, as well as the use of small formats, contribute to generate the richness of the desired atmosphere.
  • The resolution of the slopes of the ceiling guided the direction for the rest of the project. The ceiling, which assumes a leading role, is constructed in light wood with suspended linen curtains. From there the wall cladding is travertine with mirrors arranged in a grid, while the aged zapan floor completes this cohesive path.
  • The bar was to be the central element and the bottle rack the main focus of attention. The volumetry of the pre-existing structural elements of the space was redefined, giving them more “body” and lining them in a burnt black wood with a variation in format. The result is a great element that contributes to generate more welcoming and unique sub-environments.
