The L.R. House is a cloister that surrounds two existing Saman trees and overlooks a small lake.
The courtyard is surrounded by a gallery that efficiently connects the confining built volumes. Each of these four volumes contains one of the house’s main functions, namely the social area, bedrooms, garage and domestic service.
The social area is devoid of structural pillars thanks to two concrete beams which span over 17m in length. The resulting space is a free-plan pavilion that presents no interruption between the central courtyard and the front yard.
