Year: 2024
Location: Mesa de Yeguas - Colombia
Usage: Private Residential
Area: 840 M2
The project is located in the Mesa de Yeguas country club, two hours from Bogota, Colombia. The house is structured under the patio typology. This large open space is the heart of the house; it configures the circulation and the layout of the spaces around the vegetation and the sound of the water. The privileged location of the lot is characterized by incredible views over the canyons. Both the social area and the bedroom area have unique views. The climate and security make it possible to dilute the boundary between indoors and outdoors. The result is the feeling of being comfortably immersed in nature.
The color of the house is cypress green, designed to blend the architecture into the landscape. The noble materials finish dressing the house: doll stone, fresh and pleasant to the touch, covers the floors. In the social area, the floor in a chess pattern, details and enriches the spatiality. The stone walls sought to have texture and depth, as well as the wood carpentry. The dialogue between the stereotomic composition of the volumes and the tectonics of the pergola characterize the conception of the house. The pergola accompanies the circulation and weaves the massive volumes that house the living spaces. Both in the paths and in the spaces, the protagonists are always the vegetation, the sunlight, the wind and the landscape.
